A Last Minute Decision

What a week! ... booth, show, wind and weather. Our intrepid partner Ian Smith from Textile Consult was at Pure London in the Bomler booth and I think it's safe to say, he had a great time.

We want to say a big thank you to Pietro Lessi for helping us procure our booth. Pure London was the place to be this week. We had so many interesting discussions with people from different brands all over the world. We are very glad to have been able to exhibit at the show and are looking forward to doing it again.

Our booth

Was a very nice corner booth in the Pure Origin section of the show. Pure Origin is brand new this year and focuses on bringing the entire fashion supply chain, from fibre to finished collection, under one central London roof. It was the perfect place for Bomler.

We had lots of interesting discussions about transparency and the supply chain and how Bomler is changing the game by offering brands a real way to environmental proof. There was a lot of interest from the customer side about these topics. We are looking forward to co-work with eserfa. again in the future.

We Have a Winner!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you also to all the brands who participated in our business card draw. The brand A2A3 is the winner and won a free 1-year subscription to Bomler. We are super excited for them to join us in our quest to make fashion supply chains more and more transparent for consumers.

Seminars we attended

Understanding Fabric Life-Cycle to Tackle the Sustainability Challenge Facing the Textile Industry

Professor Richard Blackburns seminar on Sustainability was excellent.

Dr. Richard Blackburn is a sustainable materials expert at Leeds School of Design researching the principles of sustainability with the intent to apply these to the fields of textiles and coloration technology. He was a perfect presenter for a seminar on fabric life-cycle and sustainability.

We appreciate the time and attention he paid to explain the life-cycle of textiles often used in fashion today as well as their impact on the environment. The fact is, it is up to the industry to educate the consumer so they understand the value in choosing quality and that production quality matters in a real way.

Dr. Blackburn carries out much of his research in collaboration with the industry. He has been able to develop and refine green chemistry processes in textile dying for instance that will have significant environmental implications in the future.

Esfera.

The esfera. booth offered a first glimpse of the talented Sara Seb's new collection focused on regenerative fibers. We at Bomler are really impressed by this brand's commitment to sustainability and excellence.

We hope you had a chance to see them at the London Fashion Week. We think with esfera. you are seeing the future of the fashion industry as it reinvents itself into a major force for good.

Conclusion

Pure Origin is a big plus to the Pure London show. The organizers did a great job and we are already looking forward to July 2020. We hope to see you all there!
